Event: Workshop on Citizen Journalism and New Media
Citizen Journalism is act of citizen playing an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news and information. It has put democracy back in people's hands. Citizen Journalists, equipped with mobile phones, portable cameras, and blogs, are rapidly becoming alternative media as a reliable and wide-ranging source of information throughout the world. Citizen Journalism plays an important role on NGOs on information dissemination for widely spreading their messages to community.
This capacity building workshop will give an opportunity to the development workers to empower themselves with the know-how’s of new media tools. It will explore the ways and means to become citizen journalist!
