Send to friendNovember 6-13, at the beautiful campus of International Institute for Rural Reconstruction, Silang, Cavite, the Philippines, a 150+ gatherings of open source users and believers from Asian countries ended successfully; each one of the participants were champions in their respective fields from NGOs, SMEs and freelancers.
And the participants came from Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam.

On the theme - Building Capacities and Empowering Humanity through FOSS, the event discussed tools, business models, and communities.
The event was discuss developments in open source. For those six days, the campers lived in a communal environment that married fun and relaxation with exchange of ideas.
The event, Asia Source 3, was jointly organized by UNDP-International Open Source Network (UNDP-IOSN) through its ASEAN+3 Centre of Excellence (based at the University of the Philippines Manila) and InWEnt - Capacity Building International Germany, together with the Tactical Technology Collective, Aspiration (USA) and the Centre for Internet and Society (India).
The event was full of fun and relaxation with exchange of ideas.
